Qualifications for Admission

Since June 1974, the Institute has been recognized by the Mumbai University as a Post-Graduate Institution of specialized studies under section the section 46 of the Mumbai University Act, 1974, leading to the Two-Year University Master’s Degree in the Labour Studies (M.L.S.) in two parts

  • Every candidate for the Degree of Master of Labour Studies shall be required to register himself as a Post-Graduate student before admission to the course.
  • Every candidate for admission to the course for the degree of the Master of Labour Studies must have taken Bachelor’s Degree of the Mumbai University in any faculty or a degree of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto.
  • Production of eligibility certificate is a condition precedent for admission for the students coming from Universities other than the Mumbai University. (Candidates are advised to approach the Mumbai well in advance to ascertain their eligibility for admission to the M. L. S. Courses)
  • Students from Mumbai University are required to produce transferences Certificate within less than Three Months after Joining the Institute.
