For welding of any, boiler, piping, pressure parts under I.B.R., only qualified I.B.R. welder shall be engaged.

Such qualification can be done under this department on application in prescribed from by employer of welder. Similarly in case of welder’s certificate not revalidated in time, requalification test can be given by the welder on request by his employer, where in oral test is exempted.

• Submission of application with
  • Record of welder in form XII.
  • Two passport size photographs of each welder.
  • Name of approved laboratory, where test is intended to be given.
  • Chalan for requisite fee.
  • Copy of I.T.I. certificate/apprenticeship certificate or copy of certificate of already qualified welder.
  • Copy of experience certificate(Min.2 years)
• Scrutiny by T.A. / T.O.
• Review by Director and issue of permission letter for test.
• Oral examination ( in case of qualification test only).
• Witness of welding and testing of specimen.
• Review of report and generation of certificate by T.A/T.O. on approval by Director.
• Review of certificate by Director.
• Delivery and dispatch of certificate and letter.

Every such application shall be accompanied by relevant physical documents as listed below.
